On March 10th-17th I had the best experience at my first World Championships in Sierra Nevada, Spain! Although I had strep throat at the beginning of the trip, but I was able to get medicine and heal before the races. The first race was unfortunately postponed due to very unsafe conditions but the next day ended up being a great race day for the slalom event. After my first run I was sitting 14th in my course which was my goal to get a second run and be in the top 30. I was able to put down a second run and i finished 29th that day. It has been by far my best result at a World Cup level and was excited to place in the top 30! The giant slalom day followed but was not able to put down a good run but I was still blessed and honored to be there with the best in the world. World Champs happens every two years, never on an Olympic season, and it one of the most intense and high level of competition next to the Olympics. I was really excited to be there with the rest of the U.S. Team. I cannot wait for the next World Championships that will be in Park City, Utah!
